Should I file bankruptcy?
I first would like you to understand that bankruptcy should always be considered a last resort measure. When you have been placed into a position where you have no other means of working out your debt problems, then you should consider bankruptcy. Many of my clients have asked me if they should file? The decision to file is a personal one and should only be made based on a thorough understanding of the process and a thorough review of your financial situation. Therefore, I encourage you to contact me if you have reached this stage. I can help you to understand the process and to provide you with options, both bankruptcy or non-bankruptcy alternatives.
It has been my experience that over the past 10 years that I have been helping clients, most of them file bankruptcy to get back some peace of mind and be able to live their lives without creditors hounding them at every turn. I have heard from those same clients that they considered to file bankruptcy because of the stress of having too many bills and not enough money to cover them or the constant aggravation caused by collection phone calls and letters from not so friendly collectors.
Due to changes in the bankruptcy laws, I will no longer be able to provide answers to questions via the telephone or e-mail. I am available to sit down with you and review your situation face to face. Please call me or e-mail for a convenient appointment time.
